In fact, if the book consisted solely of those explanations I probably would have given it five stars, but it doesn't: it also contains many practice problems and answers for the odd problems, and it's those practice problems that caused me to downgrade my rating.
The trouble is, the book often makes large logical leaps between the material it presented and the problems you are expected to be able to solve. For example, after reading section 3.
